Global Rare Earth Demand to Rise to 210,000 Metric Tons by 2015
(Bloomberg) -- Global demand for rare earth is likely to rise to as much as 210,000 metric tons by 2015, compared with 130,000 tons in 2009, Wang Caifeng, secretary general of the Chinese Rare Earths Industry Association, said at a conference in Xiamen today. She also forecast that China’s demand for rare earths would rise to about 130,000 tons by 2015 from 75,000 tons in 2009.
