Citigroup, FDIC near deal that boosts scrutiny of bank
Citigroup and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. could soon finalize a secretive agreement that would force the bank to fix certain issues related to governance and management, sources said. The deal would require Citi to improve its asset quality, provide regulators with additional information on liquidity and capital, and strengthen its governance.
