CBOE poised to convert to stockholder-owned company

The Chicago Board Options Exchange, one of the last large member-owned financial exchanges in the world, is set to demutualize after reaching a settlement with members of the Chicago Board of Trade. The exchange is expected to be an attractive takeover target for companies interested in bolstering their presence in the equity-options market.
