White House issues parameters on executive compensation


Financial institutions that receive government aid would be subject to new requirements under President Barack Obama's rescue plan. Even the new rules, however, would give firms some leeway. Shareholders, for example, would get a say regarding bonuses above the $500,000 pay cap, but the rules do not limit the size of the bonuses.
