Questions linger over China's huge stimulus package

What China announced as a $586 billion stimulus package may not be quite that big and could take longer to implement than analysts expected. The amount includes money for several programs previously announced, and the spending is allocated through 2010, spreading the impact over nine quarters. Beyond that, as little as a quarter of the money will come from the central government, with the rest contributed by local governments and unspecified "social investment."
